The cement level in silo is valuable information. The correct determination of the level is the very important information to know the right moment for order a new delivery, to determine the volume of consumption and the amount to fill the silo up.
We all know the traditional ways - tapping with a hammer on the silo wall, but this is no longer effective method. With the modern level measuring methods we can determine it from the control room.

Radar probe

We offer the delivery of a radar probes. This kind of a probe sends a beam of radio waves and measures the reflected beam return time. Knowing the travel time of the beam the level of bulk material in silo could be calculated. This kind of method is widely used by police to measure the speed of cars when trapping.

Radar probes are immune to interference, resulting from dust occurring during the filling of silos; operate correctly in silos with a height of even 70m. Operation of the probe is ongoing, so the measurement is reliable and smooth. Radar probes measure the bulk materials and liquids level even with foam on the surface with an accuracy of up to 15mm. The measuring range is from 40 cm to 70m. The whole probe is enclosed in IP66 housing, allowing operation in temperatures from -40 to +200 ° C.
