The figure below shows a schematic view of batching plant. Programmable Controller reads all signals from the batching plant and controls the external actuators.
Weigh indicators are connected to the scales and read signals from load cells installed on the water, cement and aggregate scales. The controller can handle up to 8 different scales including cement, aggregate, add-mix, fresh and recycling water. The controller reads the inputs from water meter or a scale, conveyor limit switches and locates its position. The output signals control: mixer motor, discharge valve, aggregates valves, starting motors of cement screw feeders, and others. The controller is connected to a host computer providing interface for the operator. The computer is connected to a printer for printing delivery notes, recipes and reports. Production is carried out in such a way that the operator selects the recipe, by which he wants to make concrete and then gives the size of the order. Knowing the capacity of the mixing system ElbetProfi automatically calculates the amount of batches and pouring begins while weighing of aggregate, cement and water. In the basic version, the operator can enter the water correction manually, since then the computer will dispense water given its size in proportion to the amount of resources in all batches.
The heart of the system is the Industrial Programmable Logic Controller and ElbetProfi computer software designed to automate production processes, especially those which require cooperation with load cells, electric motor control and interaction with the operator. Inside the machine, you can install meters directly connected to the scales. The device is enclosed in a housing enclosure, which gives it resistance to water, dust and dirt. On the front wall there is an operator panel and a desktop computer with one or two LCD screens and keyboard. The first step after installation is to enter the number of basic parameters describing the plant such as capacity of the mixer, the minimum batch size, and time of pouring raw materials, the parameter of water meter, and much more. The final stage of the installation is to enter the recipes. The same formula is sufficient both to do a full mixer and its half, as knowing the size of the order, automatically measures a proportional a mount of raw materials.
